The 11th annual Daily Racing Form/NTRA National Handicapping Championship was held for the third straight year at the Red Rock Resort in Las Vegas on Jan. 29-30, 2010. ViewFromVegas.com owner Dave Tuley, who has covered every year of the NHC, was commissioned to cover all the action this year as well. Brian Troop won the $500,000 first-place prize: Tuley's final recap story in DRF

The other major tournament that you can qualify for in advance, or buy into at the last minute, is the Horse Player World Series at the Orleans, which will be held Feb. 17-19, 2011.
